Features
O-Ring
>B< Press Water fittings are identified by a black O-ring.
>B< Press Gas fittings are identified by a yellow O-ring and yellow GAS marking on the body.
>B< Press High Temperature fittings are identified by a red O-ring and red HT marking on the body.
*Important Note
The O-ring colour and identification must meet the application. O-rings in the fittings are not to be removed or changed.
Leak Indicator
The unique leak indicator is a specially designed, patented O-ring. It has a reduced section in two positions that allows water or air past the sealing element of any unpressed connection, providing a visible leakage point when commissioning the system.
This offers peace of mind to the installer that any unpressed fittings can be easily identified and completed before handing over the project, and gives confidence to the client that there will be no leaks during operation.
Unpressed fittings are identified by pressurising the system with a pressure range of 100kPa to 500kPa for water (prior to the final pressure testing) and 2.2kPa to 300kPa for gas. When the fitting is pressed, the O-ring material compresses, filling the gaps and creating a leak-free joint.
3-Point Press
The >B< profile has the advantage of two mechanical presses either side of the bead and one hydraulic press crimping the O-ring. This provides a permanent and secure joint. The lead-in edge design aids installation and helps protect the O-ring from damage or displacement.
